JOB SUMMARY:

The primary focus of the Kia IM Sr. Associate will be to coordinate a team of onsite and offshore QA Analysts to ensure timely and comprehensive testing of various Kia Interactive Marketing applications, systems, and services.  The QA resource is responsible for leading various types of QA and testing efforts including functional, automated and performance testing.  They will oversee Quality Assurance through establishing metrics and applying industry best practices while developing/implementing new tools and processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review requirements to define testing scope for complex software projects
  • Develop strategic test plan and review with cross functional team members
  • Design, implement and execute automation test scripts and load test scripts
  • Work with QA team to organize testing strategies and prioritize responsibilities
  • Perform appropriate testing to discover and report software defects and triage defects
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot software issues
  • Works closely with development, product management, and technical support to ensure that the quality objectives of all projects are met within schedule constraints
  • Provide testing metrics and reports for the QA dashboard to effectively communicate test status to the test team and management
  • Define, develop, and govern QA workflows and processes
  • Log and track issues using in a defect tracking system
  • Monitors the defect tracking system, assigns and escalates defects as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES & EDUCATION:
  • BS degree in information systems or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Technical Certifications a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in web site development
  • 3+ years QA support for large scale consumer websitesus
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience supporting large consumer website required
  • Experience with structured test methodologies
  • Experience with the following QA automation and performance testing tools:
    • SOAP UI
    • GOMEZ
    • Selenium
  • Experience workflow development and administration in Jira
  • Experience with working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong QA methodology, process, and technical leadership
  • Automotive experience preferred
  • Website development experience preferred
